Group

Just

and
all our activities. There is news and information and also some history of the 1st Hoveton and Wroxham which has been Scouting since 1910 and you can do a lot in that time.
As you will see, Scouting is a lot of fun. Enjoy the reports and pictures.
Who can be a member of the Group?
We have places for young people between the ages of 6 and 18. In
addition,
we also welcome the support of adults and we have places for everyone.
You
do not need any previous experience as full training is given. It is
hard
to imagine any activity more rewarding than helping with a Scout Group.
Why
not come along and join in the fun?We are a popular Group and sometimes there is a waiting list for some of our sections. Contact us as soon as possible if you want to join. We try to find places for everyone.
What do we do?
We do all the usual Scouting things, but as a Sea Scout Group we
also do lots of boating activities. Why not when you are based in
Wroxham at the heart of the Norfolk Broads?
Here are just some of the things you can join in with:
- Learn to sail and to paddle a canoe
- Go camping
- Have fun with lots of new friends
- Have an adventure
- Try out something new
Remember - above all, Scouting is about joining in and having
fun.
Family Camp 2009
The 2009 Family Camp had a space theme to celebrate the 40th
anniversay of the first moon landing. Really, it was just an excuse to
get dressed up in silly costumes and have some scouting fun. We had
perfect camping weather and were able to get out on the water in canoes
and rafts as well as taking part in an outer space competition.
Well done to all the participants who really threw themselves into the
theme and made such wonderful space junk out of nothing at all.
Here are a few pictures:
Above we see Pam in her amazing space suit. Also, Group members say
cheers and thanks to The Russell Organisation (TRO) who sponsored us.
Below, you see some of our smaller members in costume and a raft race
heading for the rocks.
